Earlier today, news surfaced that Lil Uzi Vert was sending messages of thanks to Jay-Z's Roc Nation. Before that, he was sending a few cryptic messages by way of Instagram. "If you want your album 2 drop Number One rule don't hang with the boss girlfriend,” he wrote, in his recent story. "If you want your album 2 drop be patient let the guilty answer all the blogs. FREE UZI.” Suffice it to say, it's never quite clear where matters of Lil Uzi Vert, his label situation, or the fate of Eternal Atake are concerned. Yet pieces of the puzzle continue to come together, and a new report has claimed that Roc Nation is stepping in with a clutch management contract.
Complex has confirmed the nature of Uzi's relationship with Roc Nation, which as of now, remains exclusive to a management deal. Clearly, Jay-Z and his label are intent on helping the wayward souls bogged down by dubious contracts, as they once did for Lil Wayne during the infamous Cash Money debacle. Now, seeing as both Drama and Don Cannon have given Uzi their blessing, it seems as if the wheels are in motion for Eternal Atake to finally get moving. With Roc Nation taking a more active role in the young talent's career, perhaps a new phase is on the verge of kicking off.
What do you think? Would you place your money on a 2019 release for Eternal Atake?
